I love wearing a t-shirt outside and feeling outside. What I do not love, is when my clothes stick to my body…my hairline gets damp before I reach my destination…Enough!!

I have a few clinical, unsexy tricks to hygiene and glamorous techniques with makeup bag favorites to maintain the illusion that I am in fact always cool, not sweating, naturally radiant, and loving life. I’m going to share some of my favorite products and tricks…but I also desperately want to know yours–especially if it’s a link to a micro fan that will fit in my micro purse.

The Clinical

Paula’s Choice CLEAR Acne Body Spray, $29

I had never really suffered from body acne until I briefly went off Spironolactone. I would not recommend! It was incredibly traumatizing. During that time, I started using this body spray I picked up when I worked at Allure, and actually used preventitively even then. It’s from Paula’s Choice and has a salicylic acid base. I don’t use it every day, but I actually like it after a huge sweat, post-shower. I think an infinity mister spray would do this some justice, but it’s more than good enough as it is!

Flamingo 5-blade Razor and Handle, $17.99

I just think a good razor can change a lot! My skin is super sensitive and fair and my hair on my legs is dark. I never get bumps or irritation with the Flamingo blades. I really like to use these with the L’Occitane Shower Oil. If you have not tried this, I promise you you will never find a better smelling, feeling, and lathering shower oil. It has the perfect slip to shave with and leaves moisture behind without being sticky or slippery once it washes off. True perfection!

Soft Services Buffing Bar, $28

And after you shave, scrub yourself down with this micro-crystal exfoliating bar from Soft Services!! This is definitely my favorite product I’ve tried from them so far. I like a very intense, micro-scrub sensation, especially under my arms because I wear natural deodorant and I want to be cleaaaaan and free of deodorant build-up. I also double-down and wash my body with…

Salux Japanese Beauty Bath Towel, $12.99

This! If I do not have some sort of exfoliating + body wash situation, I am actually not clean at all! This specific one is definitely Into The Gloss lore that I haven’t strayed from in years. It gets softer as you use it but still always exfoliates. Again, if you wear natural deodorant, this is great for really washing under your arms. Sorry it isn’t sexy, but it’s true.

EO Hand Sanitizing Wipes, $29

I am really clean, as you may have assessed already. Instead of sanitizing spray, which usually leaves a little residue or that Not Quite Clean feeling, these wipes actually remove grime from your hands and have an incredible fresh scent. I usually buy the Whole Foods 365 brand ones, but these also do the trick. They do in fact fit in a micro purse. These are also amazing for travel or if you are often around kids.

Clean Towel Club XL Face Towels, $12

Ok, let me explain: I know they’re single use! I know. But when you suffer from acne, you are constantly thinking about surfaces and anything touching your skin being clean. I actually enjoy these after doing sensitive treatments like dermaplaning or an exfolating mask. Orrrr when I get home from a long day and just need to get my makeup off immediately, I get one damp with warm water and wipe. These pick up everyyyything (except mascara). It’s pretty impressive!
