For this year’s Beauty Insider Sale, I think I want to only buy and recommend some New To Me things. I have a couple of restocks on my mind that I’m always happy to take a little discount on–more on that later–but I think there are so many innovative, exciting things to try in the noise of everyone having the same damn routine. Aren’t we tired?! I think when it comes to makeup, infinitely more than clothes, people don’t actually understand the performance or use of makeup so they’re willing to use what anyone suggests. I realize the irony of saying this before a list of suggestions but I would hope that my experience with makeup, at this point, is visibly beyond the average consumer. Not for anything but I am rarely wrong about the quality of something, so I’m excited to try these new things with you and hope we don’t end up making any returns.
I will be purchasing only about 10% of this because when I do, I have to get rid of like 20 things from my makeup drawers. What I said last week about clothes also applies to makeup! [Note: I did get ~10% and good for me on that!!]. Let me know if you end up buying any of my newbies or like a few of you requested, from some other extensive product edits I’ve sent out.

Last Season’s Sephora Beauty Insider Sale Guide
Make Up For Ever Artist Longwear Skin-fusing Powder Blush in Anywhere Peach, $32
I absolutely love Make Up For Ever. I think there’s something about the artistry element and how everything is compact and clinical. I feel similarly about MAC, of course. I have been eyeing this blush since it launched because 1) Like I said, I love how Make Up For Ever is super compact and buildable. I love making my own palettes. I believe this one actually comes in a compact but is removable for a ZPalette or the magnetic compacts they sell. The reason I want this is I recently discovered that I look great in peach. I have denied it my whole life but warm peaches and nudes look really good on me! This looks delightful and very baby doll…and while I do own a couple of medium-tone, warmer peach blushes, I don’t have anything like this. I know all summer I will be layering this with Pat McGrath Colour Balm in Peach Lotus, which was the peach that made me realize Peach Is For Me. Incredible !! While I’m here, I will say I also want to try the contour version and the highlighter one, as well…especially the matte highlighter !! Whew !!
Makeup By Mario Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil in Barely Blushing, $30
If you can’t tell, I’m in a blush moment…what else is new! I recently pulled the MBM Soft Sculpt Skin Enhancer out of my drawers and wow did I forget how gorgeous and seamless this product is. It effortlessly sculpts your face without too much dew and just the right amount of buildable color. I’ve worn it every day for the last two weeks. This made me think about the blush iteration also every day for the last two weeks. I need to know what it looks like on my skin. I know this is very widely loved, more so than the sticks, which I did own one of and it literally molded which has never happened to me before. I think this is a definite purchase for me, so stay tuned.
Fenty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint, $36
I have a couple of top favorites for skin tints and foundations lately but I’m almost done with my absolute favorite complexion product and it’s not that easy to get at Sephora! I am willing to branch out to a consumer favorite here and I genuinely enjoy Fenty formulas on my skin a lot. The Eaze Drop Tint feels like a fail safe option for me because I already know I love Fenty’s shade offering for my complexion and the finish is natural. I am joining the crowd on this one! If you love this too, tell me!
