I’m writing this from my couch having just cleaned up an entire Nespresso that Bean spilled on my rug while I was texting friends about the variety of Italian sandwiches we can and should try urgently.
I have been thinking about Fall ever since that random weekend in August where it was 60 degrees and I wore a coat. Honestly, probably even before then! But once I start thinking in layers, I don’t stop. I arrived to a work meeting the other week in a wool cardigan and a fleece-lined trench coat without a second thought and immediately regretted it the second I entered the subway station. Mentally, as they say, I Am There.

Basics are the wardrobe’s building blocks! Every season I like to refresh my usuals but it’s always nice to get some New Takes On A Classic. I’m obsessed with cardigans and I think J.Crew killed it with the cut and fabric combination happening here. I don’t always like when things are wool, wool blends, or cashmere. Sometimes I want the layer but to let my skin breathe, you know? This does that.
